Gatherings
For more than half a century, spending time at the Homer Martin Ranch in Mason, Texas, has been a tradition for visitors from all over Texas who are looking for that perfect outdoor getaway to unwind, relax, and put the stress of every day life on hold. The ranch retreat, nestled in the spectacular Texas Hill Country, continues to adhere to its original purpose - a real working ranch where cowboys work the land. We like to share this life, by hosting family reunions, Christian youth groups, weddings, and corporate retreats. Please take a moment to read about our group accommodations and ranch activities.
Camp Facilities
The lodge, built in 1930, and the cabins, constructed in the late 1950's, represent a family history covering three generations. The lodge is centrally located on the ranch and is only a ten-minute drive to the Llano River. The lodge features air conditioning, heating, fully equipped commercial kitchen, dining room, social room, fireplace, and game room. We provide all the utensils needed for cooking and serving meals. All you need to do is bring the food.
Outside of the lodge are lawn chairs, hammocks, icemaker, walk in cooler, large barbeque pit, and fire ring. Washer and horseshoe pits are provided. Near the lodge there are two full baths as well as a laundry room. In the evening you may want to gather around the fire pit and share fishing tales or sing your favorite tune.
Catering
For an additional cost, catering is available to interested parties. We recommend Sisters Catering, a local business that can cook one mean Deviled Southern Fried Chicken! Call ahead to make plans. Otherwise, just bring food. All cooking and eating utensils are provided.
Groups
At the Homer Martin Ranch, large groups of people are given priority, meaning the entire ranch will be at your disposal. The ranch is open year round; however, during the months of October-December we reserve the ranch for our bow-hunting friends. So, unless you're totin' a bow, we'll schedule you for a later date.
